It's free, and there's no sign-up. Open the page and add a task. There's nothing to log in to because there's no server keeping your data.
Only in this browser, using its local storage. Your tasks, titles and times are never sent anywhere. That also means they don't sync to your other devices or browsers.
Not personally. FocusBoard uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits anonymously: how many people open the page and which country or website they came from. It uses no cookies, doesn't identify you, and never sees your tasks.
Yes. FocusBoard records when a timer started rather than counting ticks, so time keeps accruing while the tab is closed or in the background. When you come back it shows the right time, and if the task ran out meanwhile it's marked completed.
Check that Completion sound is on in Settings and that your device isn't muted. Browsers also block sound until you interact with a page, so after reopening FocusBoard, click anywhere once. Use Test sound in Settings to check.
Because you can only really focus on one thing at a time. Pause the current task to start another. This holds even with FocusBoard open in several tabs.
A short list is easier to finish. When you hit the limit, delete a task you're done with to make room.
The timer stops at exactly the planned duration, the chime plays, and the tab title flashes until you come back. To keep going, use Extend to give the task more time, or Reset to start it over.
Yes. After your first visit it works without a connection. In Chrome or Edge, use the install icon in the address bar; on iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
Delete your tasks one by one, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Either way, it's gone for good since there's no copy anywhere else.
